Ep.13/ Elle Void
One of the pioneers of peer navigation for trans health in Victoria, Elle Void joined me back in March for a wide ranging conversation. How did we get from the nature of words, language, and connection, to how the knowledge of induced lactation is spread equally from expectant parents to horny kinksters? Listen to find out!

“Petit Mort”, Elle Void, 2025
Elle Void was one of my ‘must speak to’ guests on my podcast list from the start, as someone leading the way for trans peer work in Victoria, Australia. We’ve had a few chats here and there about advanced, 303, intracommunity TRANS SEX, and finally sat down to speak this year for the pod.
We talk a little about the poetry of transness and WLW sexuality, so for more on that check out History is Gay podcast episode on Sappho.
Somehow we found our way to ‘ethical storytelling’ and ‘judicious self disclosure’, an issue for many of us navigating the personal/professional divide (and sometimes murky waters between). A recent article, but there’s plenty out there! (actually, my side project Victorian Inclusive Practitioner’s List is effectively putting disclosure of background/identity at the forefront).
Elle talks about her ‘impending motherhood’, and how gender affirming the term mother is already (pre-birth). Elanor writes about trans motherhood here.
We touch on trans girlhood and rites of passage (‘rite de passage’), like getting your ears pierced. Famously Dylan Mulvaney has documented hers, to mixed reception.
I mention Lesbian Mud Wrestling, who continue to put on incredible events raising money for folks’ gender affirming care. Also Orlando Silver and Incision Press, making incredible queer and trans erotica!
